Dear Members

I trust you and yours had a peaceful and safe Christmas and I wish you all a happy and prosperous year ahead. Over the course of the holiday period the country went into a second lockdown and any hopes of resuming playing rugby in the near future have been dashed. Therefore, we need to gain some form of income for the club and one way of doing so is through the use of advertising boards.

We have recently secured a commitment from a local company to pay to advertise on the two boards at the main entrance to the club car park and also another for a board that is already erected on the fence overlooking the car park.

These are good sources of income that we need to expand upon and so I am asking you all to see if there is anyway you can approach an employer, or friends you have who own local businesses or even if you, as a senior member of a company that can authorise such advertising expenditure, to see whether they/you might be interested  in utilising our fences!

We do have another sponsor, Progression Signs, that could help with the design and production of any board, which means we  can make the process very easy for any such sponsors.

We will of course look to continue corporate and player sponsorship when playing resumes but for the time being, this avenue of income stream needs to be explored and exploited.

Please try hard to help the club at this most difficult of times by contacting The Chalky White for more information at or on 07976 989971.

Stay safe.

Yours in rugby
